Equalsportz is a sports platform built to inspire, educate, and enable the next generation of Indian athletes. We are specifically focused on beginner and intermediate athletes, typically children aged between 5 to 18 years, and their parents.
We address a critical gap in the sporting ecosystem: the lack of structured, credible guidance available at the beginner and developmental stages of sport. Through practical, research-informed resources such as our upcoming All You Wanted To Know handbook series, our Raising an Athlete podcast - hosted by founder Amita Malhotra Lalwani - and initiatives like Raising An Athlete Sports Talk Series, we equip families with clear, accessible pathways across multiple sports and career trajectories.
Equalsportz takes a holistic approach to athlete development, integrating streams such as sport psychology, physical literacy, nutrition, mindset, wellbeing, and long-term growth principles into an athlete's development. Through workshops, courses, and expert-led conversations, we empower both young athletes, and parents, to make informed decisions that support sustainable participation and lifelong engagement in sport.
We are committed to reimagining junior sport experiences in India by designing high-quality, inclusive tournaments and leagues that raise game standards while ensuring they are exciting to participate in.
Leveraging digital technology, Equalsportz is building an interconnected sporting ecosystem - bringing together young athletes, families, coaches, experts, and partners onto a unified platform that expands access, strengthens support networks, and promotes long-term athlete wellbeing and opportunities.

Founder
As a sport parent herself, Amita saw a critical gap in the sporting ecosystem - the lack of structured, credible guidance and opportunities available to parents and young athletes at the beginner and developmental stages of sporting journeys. She launched equalsportz to bridge this gap.
In 2018, she founded Equalitee, India's first gender-cool brand for kids and we try to create positive, gender-equal narratives through media and culture.
She is also a board member for TARSHI, a non-profit organization that works on sexuality and reproductive health issues.
Passionate about social impact and humane technology, she was amongst the early proponents of the digital medium in India.
Amita she has been featured extensively in the media around areas of my work, have lectured and taught at reputed institutions.

Co-Founder
As an entrepreneur for over 18 years, Rajesh has helped global brands and start-ups enhance brand value, reputation and sales.
With over 30 years of relevant experience, his views around the future of brands, marketing trends are regularly featured in the media, and often sought by organisations.
He has been a jury member on industry awards, spoken at prominent national and international fora and lectured at prestigious educational institutions including IIM, Ahmedabad, Goa Institute of Management amongst others.
His passions beyond work include golf, fragrances and gems.
