Equalsportz is a sports platform built for beginner and intermediate athletes - children aged 5 to 18 (and their parents). We want to inspire, educate and enable the next generation of Indian athletes to play their best game, and we're building India's largest platform for junior athletes and their families. We believe this is the first, most important step towards India becoming a true sporting nation.
Why it matters
Nearly 25% of India's population is between 5 and 18, and parents spend an estimated ₹5,000+ crores on sports coaching alone. Yet the junior sports ecosystem is broken:

Athletes lack support - information, direction, visibility and community - at the very stage they need it most.

Parents have limited guidance on the direction to take, the milestones that matter, and the pathways their children's sporting journeys can follow.

The result, kids drop out early, and those who stay often don't reach their full potential.

Meanwhile, coaches, experts, academies, organisers and brands all operate in silos, unable to access or scale opportunities.

Founder
As a sport parent herself, Amita saw a critical gap in the sporting ecosystem - the lack of structured, credible guidance and opportunities available to parents and young athletes at the beginner and developmental stages of sporting journeys. She launched equalsportz to bridge this gap.
Earlier, in 2018, she founded Equalitee, India's first gender-cool brand for kids and try to create positive, gender-equal narratives through media and culture.
She is a board member for TARSHI, a non-profit organization that works on sexuality and reproductive health issues.
Passionate about social impact and humane technology, she was amongst the early proponents of the digital medium in India.
Amita she has been featured extensively in the media around areas of her work. She has lectured and taught at reputed institutions on marketing and communications.

Co-Founder: Business and Alliances
As an entrepreneur for over 19 years, Rajesh has helped global brands and start-ups enhance brand value, reputation and sales.
With over 30 years of relevant experience, his views around the future of brands, marketing trends are regularly featured in the media, and often sought by organisations.
He has been a jury member on industry awards, spoken at prominent national and international fora and lectured at prestigious educational institutions including IIM, Ahmedabad, Goa Institute of Management amongst others.
His passions beyond work include golf, fragrances and gems.
