About the event
The Making of a Champion: from promising juniors to elite athletes
Thousands of children begin their sporting journey with talent, enthusiasm and big dreams - only a handful make the transition from promising junior to elite athlete. What happens along the way? Is it talent, mindset, coaching, opportunity, family support, timing or something far more complex that separates those who fulfil their potential from those who don't?
The Making of a Champion goes beyond medal-winning stories to unpack the journey behind elite performance. Through honest conversations with elite athletes, high-performance coaches and leading sports journalists who have closely followed the careers of India's finest athletes, we will explore the defining moments, setbacks, decisions and support systems that shape champions. From navigating the transition between junior and senior competition to overcoming injuries, pressure and self-doubt, this session will examine what it really takes to succeed at the highest level and challenge…
